Defender
A new event is in the works called Defender. Players will place various pieces of siege weaponry (cannons and/or catapults) at key locations to try and prevent enemies from penetrating their defenses and capturing their base. Enemies will come in waves. Once a wave is complete, the player(s) will receive a reward for finishing. Pets will not be allowed, but players will be able to fight hand-to-hand if they so desire. Siege weaponry requires cannonballs, which have to be loaded before the weapon may be fired. Macros will be helpful. Potential release date is around Christmas 2015.

The orcs in Malas have grown bold and ambitious. Rather than attempt to engage any forces directly, they are focusing their attention on a long abandoned, derelict outpost in the far Northwestern corner of Malas. Follow the Northern Crags north and west until you find a small orc outpost just beyond the foothills, from there you will see the derelict outpost you must protect.
How To Play:
Siege Defender was designed as a stand alone event in which 1 or more players would defeat several waves of orc attackers using various combat techniques, including siege weaponry (cannons and catapults). Each wave of attackers requires a certain number of orcs to be defeated in order to advance to the next wave. The outpost has three defensive positions (basement, second floor and roof). One cannon or catapult may be placed at each defensive position and used to kill attackers before they can reach the top level of the outpost. A reward bag will be dropped on the top floor once each wave has been completed. Rewards that may be available: Gold (in various amounts), a special celebratory wand, Death Maw tokens, Schematics (small and complete versions) and special "money-giving" tree that may also give Reward Scrolls.
Schematics come in two forms:
Small, tattered schematic can be combined in sets of 5 to create a complete master schematic. (If 5 small, tattered schematics are in your backpack, just double-click one of them).
Schematics are given to Kimmy on the top floor to create Helpers that will help players fight the invading orcs. Helpers that require complete master schematics are tougher than ones that use small, tattered schematics.
Siege Weaponry:
Cannons - Near each cannon a small pile of cannonballs will appear. Cannons must be loaded before they can be fired. The cannonballs have a limited range and you must have line of sight to your target.
Catapults - Near each catapult a small pile of cannonballs will appear. Catapults must be loaded before they can be fired. The cannonballs have a limited range and you must have line of sight to your target.
Caution: Firing a cannon or catapult too close will cause the weapon to take damage and eventually it will be destroyed.
